Role Overview
The Manager - MEP Execution (Electrical) is tasked with overseeing the implementation and supervision of electrical MEP systems for designated projects. This position involves ensuring the timely completion, quality adherence, cost management, and coordination of power distribution, lighting, ELV (Extra Low Voltage), and fire alarm systems aligned with the project's goals.
Key Responsibilities

- Boost client trust by ensuring execution is free of defects.
- Schedule and supervise the installation of power distribution, lighting, ELV, and fire alarm setups.
- Guarantee compliance with authorized designs, specifications, and standards.
- Examine shop drawings, method statements, and bills of quantities for accuracy.
- Address technical and practical challenges encountered during electrical system installation.
- Work closely with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams to coordinate efforts.
- Strictly adhere to safety and quality regulations.
- Monitor project progress and generate management information system reports.
- Develop expertise in electrical systems and evolving execution techniques.
- Guide and mentor junior electrical engineering staff.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering.
- Proficient in English; familiarity with national and regional languages is advantageous.
- 10 to 16 years of experience in electrical MEP execution, including hands-on exposure to power distribution, lighting systems, ELV, fire alarm systems, managing contractors, coordination, and onsite delivery.
Technical and Leadership Competencies
- Strong grasp of electrical engineering principles such as circuit analysis, load flow, and power factor correction, applied to system calculations like voltage drop, short circuit, and load assessment per standards like IEEE, IEC, NEC.
- Competence in applying method statements for installing electrical infrastructure—wiring, cabling, bus ducts, rising mains, panels—ensuring safety and compliance with the National Electrical Code and local codes.
- Capability in using engineering tools for troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning electrical systems, including system interfaces and performance validation.
- Expertise in MEP and ICT engineering, system integrations, and conducting comprehensive integrated testing to verify functional compliance.
- Knowledge of fire detection and alarm systems, including Very Early Smoke Detection (VESDA), for effective design, installation, and maintenance to enhance safety and reduce false alarms.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, including blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings, as per Drawing Control Index standards.
- Understanding of unit protection systems, overcurrent and earth fault protections, coordination, grading settings, and fault analysis, for designing reliable protection schemes.
- Familiarity with electrical control schemes, wiring diagrams, preparing power and control cable schedules, and creating accurate termination and interconnection charts adhering to industry norms.
- Leadership skills to manage subcontractor performance, workforce mobilization, and retention aligned with contract requirements, timelines, and cost constraints.
- Commitment to identifying hazards, enforcing safety standards, educating teams on safe practices, and making mitigation plans to safeguard personnel, environment, and project sites.
