Job Summary
The Manager of Live Event Hospitality is responsible for coordinating multiple sports and entertainment activations to guarantee that clients, partners, and professional athletes fully experience MGM's superior hospitality. This position bridges event logistics, VIP services, and brand marketing initiatives to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with executive leadership to align hospitality goals and budgets with MGM Resorts International's standards and marketing directives.
- Act as the main liaison for athletes, facilitating smooth communications and outstanding service during all phases of the event.
- Collaborate with corporate partners, sports agencies, and talent management to meet contractual commitments and enhance the hospitality experience.
- Manage hotel room blocks and coordinate accommodations with property partners for players, VIPs, and staff; oversee ticket distribution, inventory, and allocation before events.
- Develop and oversee secondary event components, such as welcome receptions, VIP dinners, and after-parties within the tournament's broader schedule.
- Coordinate onsite media teams to produce professional photographs and video content for marketing, press coverage, and post-event summaries.
- Supervise the acquisition, management, and distribution of VIP gifts and on-property retail activities.
- Provide high-level operational and administrative support, including budget oversight, scheduling, and project management to support departmental objectives.
- Ensure clear and timely communications across all relevant MGM Centers of Excellence, including leadership, finance, marketing, risk management, and more; prepare comprehensive presentation decks for internal stakeholders and partners.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in entertainment, sports, events, or related sectors.
- Strong presentation and communication skills appropriate for diverse internal and external audiences.
- Creative thinker capable of adjusting strategies to meet evolving challenges.
- Proven track record of delivering quality results within demanding deadlines.
