Overview
Southern Travels, a distinguished travel company with over fifty years of excellence, is expanding its Inbound Tourism Division. Located in New Delhi (Karol Bagh), we seek a seasoned Manager for Inbound Tours & International Business Development with 8-12 years of expertise to lead growth from global markets and enhance our standing as a top Destination Management Company (DMC) in India. This role offers great career advancement opportunities including potential promotion to Head - Inbound Tourism or Business Head.
Responsibilities
- Develop inbound tourism business from international markets by fostering strong ties with overseas tour operators, wholesalers, travel agents, DMCs, MICE planners, and consortia.
- Secure new clients through direct sales, networking, recommendations, and strategic collaborations.
- Create and implement comprehensive annual business and market-specific growth plans.
- Represent Southern Travels at international exhibitions, travel fairs, B2B events, and roadshows while promoting India's tourism globally.
- Regularly participate in renowned travel fairs including ITB Berlin, WTM London, Arabian Travel Market (Dubai), FITUR Spain, IFTM Top Resa (France), SATTE India, and OTM Mumbai.
- Design innovative FIT, group, luxury, wildlife, heritage, cultural, medical, wellness, adventure, educational, and MICE itineraries tailored for diverse markets such as Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
- Negotiate and manage annual contracts with hotels, transport providers, guides, and local partners ensuring quality and profitability.
- Supervise smooth execution of inbound tours, ensuring exceptional service and resolving operational challenges promptly.
- Meet revenue and profitability goals by improving conversion rates and monitoring market trends.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the inbound sales and operations teams, fostering a results-driven culture and coordinating with related departments.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate degree specializing in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Management, or related fields.
- 8-12 years’ experience in inbound tourism with reputed Destination Management Companies.
- Thorough knowledge of international inbound travel markets and proven success in generating overseas business.
- Extensive global network with tour operators, travel agents, and wholesalers.
- Experience in luxury travel sectors, FITs, groups, MICE, and customization of itineraries.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within India and abroad.
