About the Team

The Global Early-in-Career (EIC) Sales Onboarding group within Sales Enablement & Acceleration is an innovative, AI-first team committed to transforming traditional onboarding for interns and new sales hires. By combining human-centric design with advanced AI technologies, we redefine the pathway into a top-tier sales organization. We foster an energetic, diverse environment that embraces bold innovation and global influence. If you are ready to disrupt the conventional and empower future sales leaders, join us.

Role Impact & Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a group of early-career Associate Solutions Engineers through their inaugural 12 months at Cisco, facilitating a smooth shift from onboarding to becoming high-performing SE professionals. Use your practical technical experience to develop coaching strategies that focus on technical flexibility, demo proficiency, and readiness for their roles. Guide your team in leveraging AI assistants and technical automation for efficient solution design, laboratory setup, and administrative processes during their foundational year. Implement thorough performance monitoring with regular assessments to pinpoint and address technical skill gaps throughout the year-long program. Ensure effective career progression for your engineers at the close of their first year, maintaining a continuous stream of skilled technical talent capable of tackling complex client challenges.

A physical presence at the office is mandatory to serve as an accessible and visible leader, offering hands-on mentorship and informal coaching that nurtures teamwork and professional growth among newcomers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 6 years' experience in a client-facing technical position such as Solutions Engineer or Technical Specialist.
  • Minimum of 3 years' direct people management experience within a sales setting.
  • Established expertise in technical validation through demos and proof of value, along with experience employing AI-driven workflows to automate technical operations and enhance productivity.
  • Familiarity with sales and engineering platforms including Salesforce and lab environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to advocate for adopting emerging technologies, especially AI, to improve team efficiency and outcomes.
  • Current technical certifications like CCNP, CCIE or equivalent recognized industry credentials.
  • Skill in translating intricate architectural ideas into understandable technical explanations.
  • Strong dedication towards coaching and managing the developmental journeys for new engineers.
  • Experience leading challenging technical projects or providing informal mentorship.
