Meta is a global leader in designing, constructing, leasing, and operating highly efficient data centers. They seek a Strategic Partnerships Manager to advance their worldwide data center portfolio in alignment with the company’s AI-driven strategic goals. This role centers on facilitating rapid data infrastructure growth by cultivating partnerships with pivotal stakeholders such as financial entities, data center and power developers, colocation providers, and long-term asset owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess potential development partners to expand future data center capacity as part of the strategic partnerships initiative.
- Conduct comprehensive financial modeling, valuations, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with Meta’s financial and risk criteria.
- Collaborate across teams including design, engineering, construction, and legal to implement strategies that achieve capacity goals.
- Lead the formulation, negotiation, and execution of complex investment partnerships and framework agreements.
- Oversee partner pipelines, monitoring supply prospects and supporting delivery on capacity targets focusing on cost-efficiency and flexibility.
- Contribute to strategic planning for capacity expansion, including risk mitigation and developing contingency plans.
- Travel domestically and internationally over 15% of the time to maintain partner relations and oversee project advancement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a closely related discipline or comparable practical experience.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, or real estate development with emphasis on infrastructure.
- Proven success supporting large-scale, multi-party deals and capital projects with intricate structures.
- Strategic decision-making capability in uncertain environments, with proven influence on executive leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated success leading projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying AI tools to enhance workflows and drive measurable improvements in efficiency or quality.
- Knowledge of responsible and ethical AI practices including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality control.
- Continuous engagement with AI skill development such as prompt engineering and staying updated on emerging AI technologies.
- Advanced degrees such as MBA, JD, or Bachelor’s in business, finance, or real estate preferred.
- Background in private and investment banking or international infrastructure development.
- Familiarity with data center and power industry sectors.
Compensation and Additional Information
The salary range is approximately $170,000 to $238,000 per year, complemented by bonuses, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
