Role overview
Adani Ports and SEZ is seeking an experienced Corporate Communication Manager to shape and execute communication programs that strengthen the organization’s image, support leadership messaging, and keep both external and internal stakeholders well-informed. This role calls for a strategic communicator who can balance media relations, crisis response, and brand consistency while working closely with teams across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Create and roll out communication plans that support business priorities and reinforce the company’s reputation.
- Guide the corporate communications function in delivering PR initiatives, media engagement, and internal communication activities.
- Handle outward-facing communication work such as drafting press releases, responding to media queries, and sharing official announcements.
- Act as a key spokesperson for the organization and nurture strong relationships with journalists, industry partners, and other important stakeholders.
- Plan and manage crisis communication measures to safeguard the company’s reputation during difficult or urgent situations.
- Track sector developments, competitor moves, and media coverage to spot opportunities for proactive communication.
- Work with cross-functional teams to keep messaging aligned and ensure brand consistency across all communication platforms.
- Advise senior leadership on communication strategy and support internal messaging that helps engage employees and strengthen organizational culture.
- Evaluate the impact of communication efforts and refine approaches using performance data and feedback.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline is required.
- A master’s degree or MBA in Communications or a related area is preferred.
- Professional certification in Public Relations or Corporate Communications will be considered an added advantage.
- Candidates should have 8 to 12 years of experience in corporate communications, ideally within the airports sector.
- Applicants must have a proven record of designing and executing effective communication strategies.
- Experience in crisis communication and issue management is essential.
- A strong network of media contacts and industry influencers is expected.
