Role overview
Adobe is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead and grow a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) across Asia. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding a team that identifies and qualifies target accounts to create new sales pipeline. The position is designed for someone who can make a strong business impact by leading a high-performing group and supporting the demand generation engine for the Asia sales organization.
Key responsibilities
- Partner closely with Account Executives, Sales Managers, Marketing leaders, and other stakeholders to align on company objectives, direction, and execution.
- Maintain strong operating discipline through structured processes, strategic coordination, and efficient ways of working.
- Make sure opportunities sourced by BDRs are high quality and have a strong chance of progressing all the way to booking.
- Set targets, monitor performance, and provide consistent coaching, mentoring, and evaluation for individual team members.
- Use multiple pipeline-generation channels, including AI tools, social platforms, web research, online resources, and outbound calling.
- Coach the team on outbound prospecting methods, including email drafting support, template creation, and use of AI-driven insights.
Experience and capability requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in SaaS technology, along with 5 or more years leading sales or business development teams in enterprise environments.
- Comfort and depth in coaching sales professionals across core business development activities such as call coaching, professional email writing, objection handling, and planning.
- Proven ability to build and execute operating frameworks for BDR teams working within cross-functional pod structures alongside sales and marketing.
- Background in enterprise sales motions within complex, multi-product businesses with large deal values.
- Experience managing diverse remote teams across different geographies and experience levels.
- Multilingual ability in Mandarin, Korean, or Bahasa is a plus.
