Position Overview
The Manager of Business Analysis and Insights is a key role responsible for harnessing data analytics to guide strategic decisions, enhance operational processes, and elevate overall company performance through insightful data interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead creation and implementation of strategies to optimize business processes.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools to collect, organize, and analyze data to detect trends, exceptions, and opportunities for improvements.
- Perform in-depth ad-hoc analyses to address urgent business questions and support strategic projects.
- Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor operations and deliver comprehensive reports with compelling visualizations.
- Conduct competitive market analysis leveraging external data to benchmark against rivals and identify growth prospects.
- Collaborate across functions to drive continuous improvements and process enhancements.
- Engage in forecasting and predictive analytics to foresee challenges, plan capacity, and optimize resource usage.
- Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders for integration of technology enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Identify experimental opportunities for business improvement and oversee vendor management.
- Keep updated on industry trends and emerging capabilities in analytics and data science.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with 5 to 8+ years experience in business analytics, data insights, or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills including hypothesis testing, forecasting, and trend analysis.
- Advanced command of SQL; working knowledge of Python or R preferred for statistical modeling and automation.
- Experience with visualization and BI platforms such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, modern data platforms, and AI technologies.
- Proven ability to leverage syndicated and market data (e.g. point-of-sale and consumer panel data) to extract actionable market insights.
- Successful history collaborating with multiple departments like merchandising, marketing, and finance and influencing decision-making at various organizational levels.
- Excellent communication and storytelling aptitude to effectively persuade stakeholders.
