Overview
This position is aimed at grooming a future leader in sales and marketing within the electric two-wheeler industry. The Management Trainee will gain hands-on experience in field sales, dealer network growth, customer acquisition, and executing marketing initiatives to boost brand prominence and enhance the sales performance of electric scooters and bikes.
Key Duties
- Identify, recruit, and develop new retail dealers and partners to widen market access in the designated area.
- Regularly engage with current dealers to assess sales activities, inventory status, and merchandising quality.
- Assist dealer teams in meeting their monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales objectives.
- Conduct product demonstrations and facilitate test rides for potential customers through dealerships and on-ground events.
- Generate corporate and individual leads by visiting businesses, institutions, fleet operators, and residential customers.
- Convert identified leads into sales through persuasive presentations on product advantages such as cost efficiency, eco-friendliness, and low upkeep.
- Develop and sustain relationships with major decision-makers within corporate and institutional sectors.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from walk-in customers, telephone calls, and digital leads to ensure effective sales conversions.
- Support planning and execution of localized marketing efforts including roadshows, fairs, and community initiatives promoting electric two-wheelers.
- Implement brand visibility strategies through banners, hoardings, points of sale materials, and digital advertising within the allotted territory.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence regarding consumer preferences, competitor products, and pricing models.
- Provide actionable feedback to the marketing division on the effectiveness of campaigns and customer engagement.
- Maintain detailed records and submit routine activity reports covering dealer visits, client meetings, leads generated, and closed sales.
- Track personal KPIs related to sales numbers, lead conversion rates, and dealer acquisitions.
- Utilize CRM tools to keep accurate data on prospects, dealer contacts, and customer details.
- Engage in comprehensive training sessions focusing on product knowledge, electric vehicle technologies, sales methodologies, negotiation skills, and customer relations.
- Practice and apply structured sales processes such as handling objections, closing deals, and nurturing relationships.
- Collaborate with experienced sales managers to learn comprehensive sales cycles and distribution approaches specific to the EV sector.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Educational background: Graduate in any discipline; candidates with MBA or PGDM in marketing or sales are preferred.
- Experience: 0 to 1 year; fresh graduates who have a keen interest in sales and the electric vehicle or automotive industry are encouraged to apply.
- Previous exposure to sales or internships within two-wheelers, automobile, or FMCG sectors will be considered advantageous.
- Possession of a valid driving license and readiness to travel extensively within the designated territory.
