Role Overview

The Management Accountant will be responsible for producing management accounts, analysing financial performance, and partnering with business stakeholders to support sound decision-making across the organisation.

Key Duties

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, then translate the figures into clear insights for business unit decisions.
  • Collaborate with business partners to build budgets and forecasts, and monitor actual performance against approved plans.
  • Carry out variance analysis to identify trends, explain differences, and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the rollout of initiatives that strengthen financial processes and improve internal controls.
  • Design, apply, and monitor controls that protect company assets and improve the reliability of financial reporting.
  • Help ensure compliance with financial rules and manage exposure to financial risk.
  • Work across departments to provide financial guidance that improves day-to-day business operations.

Requirements

  • BSc degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or CA are considered an advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a comparable role.
  • Prior exposure to accounting systems and data entry tasks.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and procedures, including IFRS reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Eligibility

Applicants with a background in Accounting or Finance and at least 3 years of relevant experience are suitable for this position. Candidates with professional accounting certifications and strong IFRS, spreadsheet, and accounting software experience will be especially well matched.
