Overview
Join our team at Raytheon where our mission is to support national defense by delivering cutting-edge engineering expertise and ensuring the reliability of critical defense systems such as the Patriot Missile System. We seek an experienced Major End Item Repairer (MIR) to apply advanced diagnostic and repair skills at the Qatar Depot Operations program, ensuring optimal functionality of electronic and mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute depot-level troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repairs on Patriot Weapon System Major End Items (MEI) electronics and mechanical assemblies.
- Use comprehensive system knowledge and both hardware and software diagnostic tools to address complex system faults and complete maintenance tasks onsite.
- Accurately report equipment status and maintenance activities to program leadership and customers.
- Supervise subordinate personnel to maintain or exceed quality standards during repair and maintenance activities.
- Comply with physical requirements, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in harsh environments.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of the Patriot System Intermediate Maintenance Course for MOS 14E/27X/34S/94S/916A/918D or an equivalent military or contractor system training.
- Educational background of either a Bachelor's degree or Associate’s degree with 2 years relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience.
- Minimum of 4 years hands-on field maintenance experience with the Patriot Air Defense or comparable electronic systems, including fault isolation and repairs using diagnostic and test equipment.
- Experience with Department of the Army Modification Work Order (DAMWO) installations covering system integration and validation.
- Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance at the Secret level; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional 5 years of Patriot Depot Forward maintenance experience.
- Familiarity with Raytheon Quality Control standards and procedures.
- Experience in Patriot system refurbishment, modification, and Enhanced Deep Maintenance processes.
- Background in International Patriot Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs and overseas deployment.

This role is based in Doha, Qatar with expectations for onsite presence. Candidates must be able to work under demanding conditions and adhere to strict security protocols.
