Job description
Overview
This position calls for FAA certified Maintenance Technicians holding Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) credentials to execute direct maintenance tasks per Allegiant Air Continuous Aircraft Maintenance Program (CAMP) policies.
Basic Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Airframe & Powerplant Certification required.
- Minimum two years' aircraft maintenance experience within Part 121, 135, or 145 certified operations.
- Authorized to work in the United States as per the Immigration Act of 1986.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook email applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft, components, and related parts following Allegiant Air policies, manufacturer manuals, and FAA regulations.
- Overhaul airframe components, power plants, and aircraft communication/navigation systems in compliance with company and manufacturer directives.
- Properly tag removed aircraft parts as per company policy.
- Be vigilant in identifying defective or worn parts and maintain safe working conditions.
- Execute Airworthiness Releases correctly.
- Accurately record work completed on all relevant documentation.
- When qualified, undertake inspector duties as outlined in company manuals.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area and assist with housekeeping tasks.
- Complete all paperwork required by regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical and Environmental Demands
The role requires frequent standing, sitting, talking, hearing, seeing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and using hands to operate tools like drills, ladders, and welding equipment. Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds may be necessary. Work often involves exposure to loud noises, temperature variations, wind, and light changes. Ability to work in confined spaces and prolonged computer use is needed. Wearing personal protective equipment is mandatory. Shift flexibility for 24-hour operations and travel may be required.
Employment Terms and Benefits
As an essential services provider, employees must be available during national or state emergencies unless prohibited by law. The position offers a starting wage ranging from $41.32 to $55.27 per hour, which includes a $5 hourly premium for A&P certification. Wage adjustments align with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
