About the Role
This position offers an opportunity to manage post-handover maintenance activities for residential homes across the Gold Coast region. The role involves hands-on inspection of completed houses, evaluating defects, and coordinating repairs to ensure timely and effective resolution. You will engage directly with homeowners, tradespeople, and contractors while benefiting from autonomy supported by an experienced construction and customer care team.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of homes after handover within the Gold Coast area.
- Assess reported defects and maintenance concerns accurately.
- Develop clear inspection documentation outlining findings and proposed remedies.
- Communicate maintenance and warranty results effectively to homeowners.
- Oversee and coordinate trades and contractors to complete repair work promptly.
- Manage and monitor maintenance projects until successful completion.
- Follow up on incomplete tasks to ensure progress.
- Inspect completed repairs to verify quality and compliance.
- Maintain detailed records, reports, and updates for customers.
- Adhere to service and warranty protocols, including QBCC and NCC standards.
- Identify recurring issues and provide constructive feedback to the construction team.
- Support construction staff with quality assurance and practical completion matters.
- Attend the Brisbane southside office two days weekly for team engagement.
Candidate Requirements
- Trades background, preferably carpentry or similar building trade.
- Experience in residential construction, maintenance, or warranty management.
- Proven ability to coordinate and hold contractors accountable.
- In-depth knowledge of residential construction techniques and sequencing.
- Familiarity with QBCC, National Construction Code, and relevant standards/tolerances.
- Competence in defect assessment and practical repair solution identification.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally.
- Capable of prioritizing competing tasks across a regional scope.
- Excellent reporting, administration, and record-keeping proficiency.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivery quality outcomes.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Gold Coast region.
- Availability to work two days per week at Brisbane's southside office.
- Valid Australian driver’s license and full working rights in Australia.
