Role overview
Raytheon Australia partners with the Australian Defence Force to deliver highly complex engineering and technology programs across the country. Since 2011, the business has supported the Harold E. Holt (HEH) Defence Precinct in Exmouth, Western Australia, which houses the Space Surveillance Telescope, C-Band Radar and Very Low Frequency radio transmission capability that contribute to Australia’s space and battlespace awareness.
The company is expanding and is looking for a motivated Maintenance Planner to join its team. In this position, you will report to the Senior Maintenance Manager and coordinate maintenance planning for one of the organisation’s critical mission systems. The role can be based in Exmouth, WA or Henderson, WA.
Key duties
- Use planning tools to support scheduling and prioritisation across the program’s maintenance teams.
- Prepare ready-to-execute work packages, including arranging required parts and services.
- Make sure maintenance records are completed and signed off in line with approved procedures and maintenance management standards.
- Work with Maintenance and Operations Supervisors to help keep the maintenance process under control and performing well.
- Prepare ad hoc reports from Maximo, the CMMS, for customer and internal management needs.
Experience, skills and qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Planner in heavy industry, fleet, or aviation environments.
- Hands-on use of Maximo, SAP, or a similar maintenance management platform to manage work.
- Strong understanding of technical equipment maintenance; trade or engineering certification is preferred.
- A customer-first approach, with clear evidence of understanding customer needs and using planning skills to deliver strong maintenance or operational outcomes.
- Comfortable with maintenance and asset systems, Windows, and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
- Must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and able to meet ITAR material access compliance requirements.
