About the role

CHAS Health is hiring a Maintenance I to help keep its facilities safe, functional, and welcoming for patients, staff, visitors, and the wider community. This position supports day-to-day operations through general repairs, preventive upkeep, and facility care across clinic locations.

What you will do

  • Keep parking lots, patios, seating areas, and walkways clean and in good condition.
  • Identify issues, carry out repairs, install equipment, and complete preventive maintenance on building systems.
  • Help with clinic updates and facility repair work as needed.
  • Take part in on-call coverage and be available for after-hours support when required.
  • Support site security by updating access codes and key cores when instructed.
  • Assist with vaccine transport and temperature monitoring when needed, following proper handling, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out other assigned tasks while supporting the organization’s mission and core values.

What we are looking for

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills are required.
  • Ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment is required.
  • Capacity to work independently with limited supervision and also collaborate well in a team is required.
  • A valid driver’s license and active insurance are required.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful workplace is required.

Physical requirements

This role involves frequent movement throughout facilities, including sitting, standing, and walking. It also requires regular use of hands and arms, along with bending, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. The job includes regular communication by speaking and listening. Lifting demands may include up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds periodically, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Reasonable accommodation may be available for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this role is $20.38 to $29.06.

Eligible team members may receive a broad benefits package that can include:

  • An annual milestone bonus of $500 for each year worked, up to a maximum of $5,000.
