Job Location and Notice Period
This position is based in Chennai, India, with additional locations in Mumbai and Bangalore. Candidates should be available to join immediately or with a maximum notice period of 30 days.
Experience and Skills Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with core mainframe technologies such as COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and IMS DB/DC.
- Demonstrated expertise in both batch processing and online environments within mainframe systems.
- Proven experience working on mainframe rehosting and migration projects to platforms like Raincode and Micro Focus.
- Practical skills in Raincode for code modifications, compilation, debugging, and unit testing in both batch and online contexts.
- Ability to conduct impact analysis and interpret technical design documents effectively.
- Experience participating in enhancement projects with a solid grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Competence in analyzing and resolving defects during System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of IMS DB/DC, Easytrieve, Assembler, and Datacom technologies.
- Experience with scripting languages REXX and CLIST.
- Background in the telecom industry is advantageous.
