Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position of Mahila Career Advisor in Kurnool involves helping individuals, particularly women and students, in career exploration and planning appropriate financial and career pathways. Responsibilities include conducting individual and group counseling sessions, informing clients about educational and career options, and demonstrating how insurance and financial products align with long-term objectives. The Advisor will assess client skills and interests, develop guidance materials, coordinate workshops and orientations, and keep detailed counseling records.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one and group career and financial counseling sessions focused on women and students.
- Evaluate clients' skills, interests, and aspirations to provide tailored career guidance.
- Prepare and distribute educational and career planning resources and materials.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, or orientation programs to promote career awareness.
- Maintain accurate records of all counseling interactions and follow-ups.
- Collaborate effectively with LIC branches and community stakeholders in the Kurnool region.
- Support community outreach initiatives aimed at empowerment and increasing knowledge of career opportunities and insurance products.
- Uphold high ethical standards and LIC’s organizational values in all activities.
Requirements
- Proven ability or experience in career counseling, development, and management, with skills relevant to guiding women and students.
- Competence or interest in general counseling practices including student counseling.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly and sensitively convey complex information.
- Preferred educational background: Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, human resources, or related disciplines.
- Familiarity with local education systems and employment opportunities within and around Kurnool.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site, engaging with diverse community members while maintaining confidentiality.
- Basic understanding of insurance and financial products, coupled with enthusiasm to learn LIC’s product offerings.
- Fluency in local languages as well as English; comfortable using standard digital office tools.
