Machine Operator - Steel Manufacturing (Afternoon Shift)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a leading steel manufacturing company in Pinkenba, Queensland. This permanent, full-time afternoon shift position involves operating specialized machinery to manufacture steel reinforcement poles (rebar) with precision and safety as priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery designed to shape and fabricate steel rebar poles according to precise specifications.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections on completed steel products to ensure adherence to standards.
• Monitor machine processes to maintain consistent productivity and meet daily production goals.
• Comply rigorously with workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience operating industrial machinery, preferably within steel manufacturing or heavy production sectors.
• Unrestricted Australian work rights enabling long-term employment.
• Reliable work habits including punctuality and a proactive approach to duties.
• Mandatory current LF forklift license or relevant experience in steel or construction manufacturing environments.

Work Conditions & Benefits

• Permanent full-time employment with 38 hours per week and optional overtime opportunities.
• Shift timings: Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
• Competitive pay rate of $37.95 per hour plus additional loadings and optional overtime premiums.
• Stable and predictable schedule allowing weekends off.
