Job description

About the role

This position is for experienced quantitative professionals who can help improve AI training data and model behavior. You will collaborate with advanced AI systems by checking AI-produced quantitative analyses, solving technical problems, and sharing feedback that influences how these models handle data, statistical thinking, and scientific reasoning.

The role is suitable for people from a range of quantitative backgrounds, including data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, and similar fields. If you are comfortable thinking deeply about data, models, and analytical problems, your experience can translate well here. Some contributors use this alongside a full-time job, while others make it their main work.

How the process works

After creating an account, you will complete a brief assessment that acts as the screening step. If successful, you will receive a confirmation email and paid assignments will become available on the platform.

Advantages of contracting

  • You can select the projects you want to take on and decide when to work.
  • You can work independently on your own schedule, using your own computer, from home.
  • Compensation is hourly, starting at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, and some projects may include bonus pay.

Responsibilities

  • Review AI-generated quantitative outputs for correctness and practical relevance, including statistical work, predictive models, scientific reasoning, and data-based insights.
  • Create and solve quantitative tasks used to train and benchmark AI systems, covering topics such as forecasting, experiments, optimization, and statistical inference.
  • Produce easy-to-understand technical write-ups and maintain well-structured analytical code.
  • Offer feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI models for quantitative problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative role or research setting such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
  • Some programming experience is required, along with the ability to write and review analytical code from start to finish.
  • Hands-on familiarity with statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and experimental design, such as A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
  • Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level, with excellent written communication.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering; a master’s degree or PhD is an advantage.
  • Extra credentials can help, including a strong Kaggle ranking, AWS or GCP machine learning certifications, or similar evidence of expertise.

Additional information

Payment is issued through PayPal, and no fees or money requests will ever be made from applicants. Any currency conversion from USD will be handled by PayPal. Only candidates located in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand will be considered. This is an independent contractor arrangement.
