Role overview
The Head of AI & Data Science will lead the company’s artificial intelligence and analytics agenda. This position is responsible for defining the AI direction, guiding data science initiatives, and ensuring that advanced data-driven solutions are embedded into wound care products, services, and operations. The role works closely with multiple functions to connect new technologies with business needs and patient-focused results.
What you will do
- Set the organization’s AI and data science roadmap so it supports business priorities and innovation targets.
- Manage and coach a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts to build high-impact AI solutions.
- Work with R&D, product, and clinical teams to identify where AI can improve wound care offerings.
- Plan and supervise data gathering, data handling, and analytical workflows that support research and development.
- Make sure all AI and data activities follow privacy laws and ethical standards.
- Keep track of new developments in AI and healthcare to help the company stay competitive.
- Present insights, progress, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
Candidates should have a strong background in computer science, data science, or a closely related discipline. A master’s or doctoral qualification is preferred. The role calls for deep experience in AI, machine learning, and data analytics, ideally in healthcare or biomedical settings. Applicants should also bring proven people leadership experience, including managing multidisciplinary teams. A solid understanding of data privacy requirements and the ethical use of AI is important, along with the ability to explain technical ideas clearly to non-technical audiences.
