Role overview
The M Sc Nurse will support pediatric and cardiac inpatient care, with an emphasis on ICU-related patient monitoring, coordination, documentation, and communication across clinical teams. The role involves hands-on nursing support as well as administrative and supervisory responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Manage inpatient pediatric sampling, cannulation, procedures, and the timely completion of clinical instructions for admitted patients.
- Ensure that patient orders are carried out without delay, especially in ICU environments, including monitoring, tests, and medication follow-up.
- Observe patients regularly and respond to their condition as needed.
- Maintain accurate records for all patients admitted to the department.
- Handle patient complaints and address concerns promptly.
- Reassure anxious patients and escalate to the consultant when required.
- Oversee departmental operations and supervise day-to-day activity.
- Support care for patients before and after surgery.
- Coordinate effectively between doctors, nurses, and technicians to improve patient care.
- Meet patients and their relatives, and counsel them regarding their questions and concerns.
- Carry out administrative tasks and support risk management activities.
- Report to senior management and act as a link between administrative and medical teams.
- Use strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities in daily work.
