Role overview
Abbotsford Volkswagen, part of the AutoCanada dealership group, is hiring a full-time Lot Attendant for an immediate start in Abbotsford, British Columbia. This position supports the dealership’s service and sales operations through vehicle movement, lot organization, and light upkeep work. The environment is busy, fast-moving, and varied from day to day.

Key duties
- Move customers and dealership staff as required
- Keep the building and grounds in good order when needed
- Support both the service and sales teams with day-to-day tasks
- Park and organize vehicles for sale and for service workflow
- Remove protective covers and identification tags before vehicles are returned to customers
- Check vehicles for stains, debris, and damage before handoff, and escalate any issues right away
- Help prepare service write-ups and tag customer cars and trucks
- Assist with shop cleaning and deliveries as needed
- Clean vehicle exteriors according to seasonal requirements, including snow removal
- Spot merchandising issues or needs on the lot and report them to the proper manager
- Place signage in and on vehicles for promotional use
- Track and arrange vehicles daily according to their progress through reconditioning
- Maintain a tidy lot, including garbage removal and general cleanup
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in the automotive industry and familiarity with vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Prior experience with cleaning products, cleaning tools, or power washers is an advantage
- Dependable and reliable work style with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong customer service skills
