Overview
AutoCanada is hiring a full-time Lot Attendant for Crosstown Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Edmonton, Alberta. This is an immediate-hire, on-site role within one of the largest Canadian-owned automotive dealership groups operating in Canada and the United States. Role summary
In this position, you will support the service and sales teams by moving vehicles, helping customers and staff with transportation, and keeping the dealership lot, vehicles, and work areas clean and organized. A key part of the job is detailed interior and exterior vehicle cleaning, along with ensuring customer vehicles are ready to be returned in proper condition. The work requires physical effort and comfort working around, inside, and underneath vehicles.
What you will do
- Transport customers and dealership staff when needed
- Help maintain the building, grounds, and overall dealership appearance
- Support tasks in both the service and sales departments
- Organize, park, and move vehicles for sale and for service work each day
- Remove protective coverings and identification tags before returning completed vehicles to customers
- Check vehicles for stains, debris, or damage before handover and report any issues right away
- Assist with service write-ups and attach tags to customer vehicles
- Collect parts from the Parts Department
- Help with shop cleanup and make deliveries when required
- Remove snow and other seasonal buildup from vehicles as needed
- Flag lot merchandising concerns to the appropriate manager
- Place signage on or in vehicles for promotional purposes
- Track and organize vehicles based on their progress through reconditioning
- Keep the lot tidy, including garbage removal and similar housekeeping duties
- Detail customer vehicles inside and out
- Vacuum, deodorize, and wash vehicles as part of general detailing work
- Keep vehicle exteriors clean and free of marks, including showroom display vehicles
- Deliver dealer trades to nearby locations and drive customers home when necessary
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in the automotive industry and a working knowledge of vehicles
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Prior exposure to cleaning products, cleaning tools, and power washers is considered an advantage
- Dependable and reliable work style
