Overview
Join our dynamic operations network renowned for rapid, accurate delivery and excellence in service, serving millions of Amazon customers daily. We seek a proactive and detail-oriented Security and Loss Prevention (SLP) Specialist to uphold safety and operational continuity throughout our supply chain sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to business resilience by assisting in emergency and crisis response planning within assigned locations.
- Identify vulnerabilities such as loss incidents, associate experience gaps, and process inefficiencies; develop effective mitigation strategies ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Act as liaison for security matters between local management, law enforcement, and industry groups.
- Ensure that sites under your purview strictly adhere to Amazon's global security policies.
Daily Functions
As part of a specialized team, perform routine security audits, investigate breaches and losses, gather data via system monitoring and interviews, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain physical site integrity by verifying security system performance and coordinating with subject experts and external vendors. You will interface with internal departments like legal and HR and support education programs to increase loss prevention awareness.
About the Team
Embedded in the Global Security Operations unit, this role supports Amazon's business goals by managing risks to people, assets, and brand reputation. The team ensures end-to-end supply chain security and proactively prevents and addresses security threats.
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant experience in security, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory control, auditing, or investigations.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) within a professional environment.
- Fluency in German (reading, writing, speaking) and working proficiency in Business English.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Knowledge of physical security best practices, security system applications, investigative procedures, and contract guard management.
- Experience in logistics, distribution centers, or manufacturing settings.
- Aptitude for data analysis and experience working with analytics.
- Valid driver’s license.
