Loss Prevention Officer - RC RAK, Al Hamra

Position Overview

The Loss Prevention Officer role at The Ritz-Carlton RC RAK, Al Hamra encompasses ensuring the security and safety of the property, guests, and employees. This position involves vigilant patrolling of all property areas and assisting guests with room access when necessary. The officer is also responsible for monitoring security systems including CCTV, perimeter and duress alarms, and fire safety devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols across the property and secure entrances as required.
• Monitor and manage security technologies such as closed-circuit television, alarm systems, and fire safety mechanisms.
• Carry out daily physical safety inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including administering first aid/CPR and contacting emergency medical services.
• Manage incidents by calming disturbances, escorting unauthorized individuals off the premises, and reporting accidents or thefts.
• Complete detailed reports on security and loss prevention incidents and maintain confidentiality of all related documents.
• Conduct investigations and interviews to gather evidence when required.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and uniform standards.
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing service needs professionally and assisting those with disabilities.
• Engage in teamwork, uphold quality standards, and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• No prior work or supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification is mandatory, though some jurisdictions may require additional credentials.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work requires long periods of standing, walking, or sitting.
• Physical capability to safely lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance.
• Ability to navigate confined, uneven, or elevated spaces.
• Use of fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for handling various objects.
• Compliance with all safety and operational protocols as outlined by management.

Additional Information

This position reports to non-management level and operates on a full-time schedule based at the Ras Al Khaimah location in the United Arab Emirates.
