Loss Prevention Officer

Role overview

This position is part of the Loss Prevention & Security team at a luxury property in Ad Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is a full-time, non-management role focused on protecting guests, associates, and hotel assets while supporting a safe and orderly environment.

What you will do

• Walk and monitor all areas of the property and support guest access to rooms when needed.
• Observe CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire/life safety systems.
• Secure entrances when required and carry out routine physical hazard checks each day.
• Respond quickly to incidents such as accidents, disturbances, thefts, or attacks, and involve EMS or first aid/CPR support when necessary.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies and help calm tense situations.
• Document security-related events through incident reports, shift summaries, and daily activity records.
• Handle interruptions and complaints, resolve unsafe situations, and remove unauthorized persons without disrupting hotel operations.
• Cooperate with outside assistance when needed and use the correct code responses when calling for support.
• Conduct investigations, collect evidence, and speak with relevant parties as part of incident follow-up.
• Maintain confidentiality of security reports, property records, and other sensitive information.

• Follow company policies and procedures, including reporting injuries, accidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance at all times.
• Protect company property and handle confidential information responsibly.
• Greet guests professionally, recognize their needs, and support guests with disabilities when required.
• Communicate clearly in speech and writing, and prepare accurate documentation.
• Build positive working relationships and contribute to team goals.
• Meet quality standards and be ready for extended standing, sitting, walking, and other physical duties across a full shift.
• Be able to read small print, inspect tools and equipment, use computers or POS systems, and move quickly to respond to incidents.
• Be prepared to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds alone and more than 75 pounds with assistance, and work in confined, elevated, slippery, or uneven areas.
• Perform bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pulling, and other physical movements as required.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• No prior work experience is required.
• No previous supervisory experience is required.
