Role overview
Greenstar is seeking a dependable HGV Category C driver to work from the Monaghan depot in County Monaghan, Ireland (A75 P267). This position sits within a major waste and resource recovery operation, and the successful candidate will handle a variety of Class 2 vehicles including skip trucks, RoRo vehicles, and bin lorries.
Pay and schedule
- Standard pay is €18.00 per hour.
- Overtime is paid at €18.50 per hour.
- This is a stable full-time role.
- Start times are early, typically between 5:00 am and 8:00 am.
- The regular working week runs Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays required.
- If you work a half-day on Saturday, you will receive payment for a full day.
- Training and development are provided to support long-term progression.
What the role involves
- Carry out daily and weekly checks on vehicles to confirm they remain safe and compliant.
- Plan routes efficiently so collections and deliveries are completed as assigned.
- Keep both electronic and manual records accurate and up to date.
- Work closely with colleagues to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
What the employer is looking for
- At least 2 years of professional driving experience.
- A valid, clean Category C licence.
- A current Digital Tachograph Card.
- Driver CPC qualification.
- You must be over 25 years old for insurance reasons.
- Good communication skills and a strong focus on safety.
