Lorry Driver

Role overview

Greenstar is seeking a dependable HGV Category C driver to work from the Monaghan depot in County Monaghan, Ireland (A75 P267). This position sits within a major waste and resource recovery operation, and the successful candidate will handle a variety of Class 2 vehicles including skip trucks, RoRo vehicles, and bin lorries.

Pay and schedule

• Standard pay is €18.00 per hour.
• Overtime is paid at €18.50 per hour.
• This is a stable full-time role.
• Start times are early, typically between 5:00 am and 8:00 am.
• The regular working week runs Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays required.
• If you work a half-day on Saturday, you will receive payment for a full day.
• Training and development are provided to support long-term progression.

What the role involves

• Carry out daily and weekly checks on vehicles to confirm they remain safe and compliant.
• Plan routes efficiently so collections and deliveries are completed as assigned.
• Keep both electronic and manual records accurate and up to date.
• Work closely with colleagues to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

What the employer is looking for

• At least 2 years of professional driving experience.
• A valid, clean Category C licence.
• A current Digital Tachograph Card.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• You must be over 25 years old for insurance reasons.
• Good communication skills and a strong focus on safety.
