Position Summary
This contract opportunity is open to candidates worldwide (except OFAC-restricted areas) seeking to utilize their logistics and supply chain expertise to advance an innovative project aimed at enhancing supply chain workflows, documentation quality, and operational efficiency. The role involves applying practical industry knowledge to aid AI system development through document reviews and scenario validations, requiring no prior AI experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine, interpret, and validate key logistics paperwork such as packing lists, bills of lading, and inventory logs.
- Assess documents for thoroughness, accuracy, authenticity, and adherence to industry norms.
- Prepare and annotate exemplary logistics documents showcasing best industry practices.
- Analyze supply chain operations and suggest improvements to enhance processes.
- Provide expert opinions on logistics scenarios, procedures, and documentation formats.
- Participate in quality assurance by verifying supply chain data consistency and correctness.
- Collaborate with teams to clearly communicate logistics knowledge and industry standards.
- Assist in creating instructional materials relating to logistics and supply chain functions.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive expertise in logistics and supply chain management fields.
- Strong grasp of supply chain operations and workflow methodologies.
- Experience handling standard logistics documents including packing lists, bills of lading, and inventory registers.
- Solid understanding of logistics procedures and industry benchmarks.
- Proficiency in English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Meticulous attention to detail when reviewing and assembling logistics documents.
- Analytical skills to identify and propose process enhancements.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote setup with flexible working schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum three years of direct logistics and supply chain management experience.
- Familiarity with international logistics and global supply chain environments.
- Advanced academic credentials like a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related disciplines.
- Experience across varied industries and supply chain contexts.
- Capability to effectively convey complex logistics ideas to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record in implementing workflow improvements within logistics operations.
Additional Details
- Employment is on a contractual basis for 3 to 6 months, depending on project scope.
- Candidates may opt for part-time engagement (20 hours weekly) or full-time (40 hours weekly) as per availability.
- Compensation ranges from $40 to $50 per hour in USD.
- The role requires fulfilling minimum committed hours communicated during onboarding.
