About the Company
Lowes Petroleum is a major regional supplier of fuel and lubricants in Australia, with operations across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. The business focuses on supporting regional communities through a network of bulk fuel and lubricant depots, delivery vehicles and retail service stations.
About the Role
As a Logistics Scheduler based at the Townsville Depot, you will coordinate daily fuel deliveries from terminals to customer locations and company sites. The position plays a central part in keeping fleet operations efficient, safe and well organised.
You’ll need to be organised, quick to respond, and comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change through the day. Strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to manage time-sensitive work will be important to your success.
Key Duties
- Plan and coordinate everyday bulk fuel deliveries to customer and company locations across Townsville and nearby areas.
- Improve fleet productivity by mapping delivery routes, assigning drivers and reducing operating costs where possible.
- Record delivery schedules and related information accurately in the company system, in line with NHVR and compliance obligations.
- Work closely with drivers, customers and transport subcontractors to keep communication clear and delivery updates timely.
- Support depot activities such as trip processing, dispatch assistance and general administrative tasks.
- Keep track of fuel tank levels remotely across service sites to help maintain ongoing supply.
- Help ensure customer service expectations are met through efficient planning and quick response times.
- Arrange truck servicing and maintenance appointments to reduce vehicle downtime.
- Prepare driver rosters and timesheets while meeting fatigue management and work-hour rules.
- Provide practical support across depot operations whenever needed.
Candidate Profile
We’re looking for someone with a logistics mindset, strong problem-solving ability and confidence working independently. Experience in scheduling, transport coordination or depot operations will help you succeed in this role.
Additional Information
This opportunity offers the chance to join a well-established company with long-term career prospects in transport and logistics. The role comes with the stability of a national business, a collaborative team environment, supportive leadership and opportunities for training and development.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia. The employer may close applications before the advertised closing date, so early interest is encouraged.
