Role Overview

The Logistics Operative plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. Positioned within the Regional Distribution Centre, responsibilities include managing stock, operating forklifts, supporting order fulfillment, and maintaining high operational standards. The position requires a practical, reliable, and detail-oriented individual who works well within a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, inspecting, and accurately storing incoming products.
• Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch efficiently.
• Safely loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Conducting stock control tasks such as inventory counts and audits.
• Handling returns and resolving any discrepancies in stock.
• Maintaining precise records and documentation within systems.
• Coordinating closely with internal teams to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
• Adhering strictly to health, safety, and quality protocols.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Practical experience in a busy warehouse environment.
• Current forklift licence valid within the last three years, preferably for Counterbalance, Reach, Pivot-Steer, and Power Pallet Truck.
• Strong accuracy and dependability in handling tasks.
• Positive, team-oriented work attitude.
• Basic IT knowledge, numeracy, and effective communication abilities.
• Good understanding of health and safety standards.

Preferred Qualities:

• Familiarity with managing a variety of product lines.
• Experience working in fast-paced distribution settings.
• Ability to effectively interact with various internal departments.

Working Conditions and Benefits

• Work schedule consists of 45 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with shift times between 06:30-16:30 or 07:30-17:30.
• Salary up to €39,780 annually, dependent on experience, with additional bonus schemes.
• Starting leave entitlement is 25 days per year, increasing to 27 days with continuous service, alongside bank holidays and a buy/sell holiday option.
