Logistics Operations Executive (Working Location: YCH @ Bulim)

About the Role

This position is focused on coordinating freight activities from start to finish, with an emphasis on punctual deliveries, controlled logistics spend, and adherence to required processes. The role supports overall logistics performance by working with internal teams and outside partners, while also contributing to ongoing improvements in quality and productivity.

The Team

You will be part of the Supply Chain – Warehouse group in Molex Singapore. In this role, you will work with planners, sales engineers, quality, finance, IT, global logistics teams, and external logistics providers to keep outbound operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle shipment processing end to end, including freight reservations, required shipping documents, and live updates in the system.
• Work with plants, third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, and vendors to secure on-time deliveries, including urgent and non-routine shipments.
• Assess transport options and manage premium freight exceptions to keep logistics costs under control.
• Check freight invoices and monthly billing statements, and coordinate with forwarders and global teams to correct any mismatches.
• Prepare purchase orders for logistics-related services and shipping materials.
• Track shipping supplies inventory and pricing to ensure availability and cost awareness.
• Support the handling of cargo damage claims and scrap sales processing.
• Assist with internal and external audits and compile monthly logistics and billing reports.
• Take the lead or contribute to GLSS and other cost-saving initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and quality.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma, together with relevant experience in logistics or shipping operations.
• Prior exposure to freight coordination, logistics execution, or supply chain support work.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong business English communication skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and manage tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in logistics or shipping within the electronics or manufacturing sector.
• Familiarity with SAP or another ERP platform.
• Background in audits, freight cost control, or continuous improvement projects.
