Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Officer to enhance our team’s capabilities by managing logistics coordination, import/export procedures, and customs clearance to ensure efficient supply chain operation at our facility located in the 2nd Industrial City, Dammam.
Key Responsibilities
- Take complete responsibility for securing, tracking, and managing Saudi Customs import duty exemptions concerning raw materials, machinery, spare parts, and other eligible imports while maintaining precise records and ensuring timely filings in line with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the import and export logistics processes, involving shipment monitoring, coordinating transportation, and guaranteeing punctual delivery.
- Work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, ZATCA, and other relevant authorities to facilitate customs clearance.
- Prepare, authenticate, and retain critical shipping and customs documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to maintain a smooth flow of materials and ensure adherence to shipping norms.
- Track shipments, troubleshoot logistics or customs-related issues, and give prompt support for urgent shipments when necessary.
- Keep detailed logistics records, including shipment reports, customs exemption documentation, and cost analytics.
- Ensure strict compliance with Saudi Customs regulations, import/export legislation, and company policies.
- Explore and suggest improvements to minimize freight expenses, reduce transit times, streamline customs processes, and boost logistics efficiency overall.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Have a minimum of three to five years’ pertinent experience in logistics management, import/export operations, and customs clearance, preferably within steel, manufacturing, or construction materials sectors.
- Strong familiarity with Saudi Customs regulations, freight forwarding, and shipping documentation requirements.
- Experience collaborating with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers.
- Good understanding of Incoterms and international shipping protocols.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and ERP software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize duties effectively and manage multiple concurrent shipments.
