Job Overview
We seek a Logistics Executive to oversee dispatch, transportation, and inventory functions at our TMT Steel Bar Yard or Depot. The role demands coordination with transporters, warehouse personnel, customers, and the sales department to guarantee timely and precise deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and manage the daily dispatch process for TMT steel bars.
- Coordinate vehicle arrangements and communicate with transporters to facilitate punctual deliveries.
- Oversee loading and unloading operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Prepare, review, and validate all dispatch documentation including invoices, delivery challans, and e-way bills.
- Monitor vehicle movements to confirm delivery timelines are met.
- Maintain accurate stock records and conduct inventory reconciliations regularly.
- Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and accounts teams for seamless order fulfillment.
- Generate daily management information system reports on dispatch, stock, and logistics activities.
- Address and resolve issues related to delivery and transportation promptly.
- Adhere to safety norms and company policy standards throughout operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate or diploma qualified in any discipline.
- Between 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, dispatch, warehouse, or depot operations.
- Prior experience in TMT steel, cement, building materials, or construction sectors preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong capabilities in dispatch and transportation coordination.
- Proficient in inventory management.
- Experience managing transporters effectively.
- Competent with MS Excel and MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Effective problem-solving and time management abilities.
Terms & Conditions
- Salary range: ₹25,000 to ₹35,000 per month depending on experience.
- Positions available at two locations: Chengalpattu and Minjur.
- Employment type: Full-Time.
- Working days: Monday to Saturday.
- Provident Fund and Employee State Insurance applicable as per regulations.
