Role overview
Advario is hiring a Logistics Executive for its Logistics team in Singapore. The position focuses on coordinating terminal logistics according to customer storage needs and the terminal’s operating capacity. You will work closely with Operations to organize cargo nominations, keep inventory records current, prepare periodic reports, and share stock updates with customers and relevant authorities.
Key responsibilities
- Organize terminal logistics in line with customer nominations and the terminal’s operational limits, including vessel turnaround planning, other product movements, and material flows into and out of the terminal.
- Build and maintain vessel operation schedules, and stay effective in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.
- Handle customer questions and complaints related to logistics, propose timely solutions, and follow through until the issue is resolved.
- Prepare shipping documentation for vessel operations.
- Carry out vessel vetting and sanctions screening.
- Arrange customer meetings, terminal visits, and audits.
- Issue weekly and monthly stock inventory updates to customers.
- Prepare weekly and monthly customs reports.
- Create, post, and circulate weekly and monthly invoices.
- Maintain KPI and inventory reports for customers and customs authorities, ensuring compliance.
- Follow up on accounts receivable matters.
- Provide technical assistance whenever operational issues arise.
- Coordinate with customers, surveyors, shipping agents, and internal teams to keep logistics activities running smoothly.
- Manage customs clearance permits for imports and exports, including documentation, submissions, declarations, filing, and support during customs audits.
- Handle shipping document preparation, submission, declaration, and filing.
Requirements
- A diploma in business, logistics, or a related field is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics, planning, or customer service, preferably within terminal storage logistics or the oil and gas sector.
- Strong analytical ability and the capacity to interpret data for informed decision-making.
- Comfortable managing several tasks at once and working independently.
- Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Capable of performing well under pressure and adjusting to changing priorities.
Additional information
This role is based in Jurong Island. The Logistics Executive will follow a 2-week planning rotation and must remain on 24x7 standby during that period; a standby allowance will be provided. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
