Role Overview

This leadership position involves directing the logistics, distribution, and fulfilment functions of the company. The role focuses on managing comprehensive delivery operations, optimizing supply chain frameworks, and ensuring smooth product transfer from suppliers to customers. The director will develop and implement logistics strategies, enhance operational efficiency, supervise distribution channels, and foster service excellence with a focus on cost control and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery operations and optimize supply chain networks.
• Collaborate with executive management, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, e-commerce, sales, finance, customer support, technology teams, warehouse operations, transport providers, and third-party logistics partners to ensure cohesive fulfilment aligned with company goals.
• Manage warehouse oversight, transport planning, last-mile delivery, inventory movement, and 3PL partnerships.
• Oversee fulfilment center operations and initiate logistics technology implementations, including automation and AI-based forecasting.
• Analyze operational performance through KPIs, enforce compliance, and drive continuous process improvements to boost efficiency, customer satisfaction, resilience, and support sustainable growth.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Analytics, or related fields; advanced degrees (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
• Extensive senior leadership experience in logistics, distribution, or fulfilment roles such as Logistics Director, Distribution Director, Head of Logistics, or Warehouse Director.
• Comprehensive understanding of logistics operations including warehouse, transportation, inventory, order management, last-mile delivery, 3PL, and global distribution.
• Proven record managing large-scale logistics operations, warehouse process optimization, contract negotiations, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
• Hands-on familiarity with logistics and supply chain software platforms such as WMS, TMS, OMS, SAP EWM, Oracle SCM Cloud, Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder, Körber, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics 365 SCM, Power BI, Tableau, and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of logistics planning, automation, robotics, route and demand forecasting, supplier management, trade compliance, customs regulations, sustainability, and risk management.
• Experience or knowledge of AI, Generative AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, autonomous logistics, RPA, IoT, digital twins, cloud computing, and advanced fulfilment technologies is highly valued.
• Excellent strategic, analytical, and decision-making capabilities aimed at network optimization, cost reduction, service level management, and alignment with organizational growth.
• Proven leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels within and outside the organization.
• Experience in global logistics transformation, e-commerce fulfilment, warehouse automation, omnichannel strategies, regional growth, M&A integration, and operational excellence initiatives is an asset.
• Strong commercial insight including managing budgets, contracts, transportation expenses, capital investments, vendor relations, SLAs, and improvement projects.
• Certifications such as CSCP, CLTD, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, CLP, or similar logistics credentials are advantageous.
• A results-driven, strategic executive passionate about efficient distribution systems, leveraging AI, automation, analytics, and modern logistics tech to enhance delivery, customer experience, cost-effectiveness, and sustainable business value.
