Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator will be accountable for ensuring smooth management of supplies, vendor relations, and overseeing basic facility functions that support patient services and clinic operations. This position is essential in maintaining an environment that adheres to GluCare's integrated care principles. The role also involves assisting with event logistics and operational preparedness, requiring adaptability in work hours and responsiveness to urgent demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory across clinical, café, and administrative sections; initiate and follow up on restocking of materials and consumables as required.
- Manage receipt, inspection, and correct storage of incoming supplies and shipments.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of supply usage, procurement requests, and delivery records.
- Coordinate with vendors for scheduled and unscheduled services, ensuring prompt and quality delivery.
- Supervise maintenance visits, service appointments, and installations on-site, escalating issues appropriately.
- Provide backup coverage for logistics operations during staff absences or emergencies to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Facilitate logistical arrangements and setup for internal events, workshops, and wellness programs.
- Collaborate with emergency responders or contractors during facility-related incidents, possessing basic knowledge of facility management and building protocols.
- Adhere to and promote all clinic infection control, safety policies, and operational guidelines.
Facilities and Operational Support
- Assist with minor facility coordination, including reporting maintenance issues and tracking work completion.
- Work hand-in-hand with housekeeping, IT, and administrative teams to optimize departmental operations.
- Aid in the delivery and assembly of medical and non-medical equipment as necessary.
- Ensure cleanliness and systematic arrangement of storage and logistics areas.
Additional Role Requirements
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or extended hours dependent on clinic demands.
- Capability to multitask, prioritize duties, and act swiftly on urgent logistical needs.
- Exhibit initiative, dependability, and a customer-service focus within a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of high school or equivalent qualification; barista certification or training considered advantageous.
- One to two years’ background in barista work or hospitality, especially within healthcare or wellness sectors.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness regulations.
- Experience in logistics, inventory control, or administrative coordination is beneficial.
- Skilled in preparing various beverages, including those suitable for diabetic and wellness-conscious clients.
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities.
- Friendly and patient-oriented with keen attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of nutritional requirements for diabetes management is a plus.
- Fluent in English; familiarity with Arabic is an added advantage.
