About the Role

Join the inbound transports division at Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, where you will be integral to managing all facets of inbound logistics. The team oversees the entire supply chain process from supplier pickup points to delivering materials to the factory floor. This department holds full operational management responsibility for both domestic and international shipments, supporting factory ramp-up efforts and continuously enhancing Tesla's transportation networks locally and globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take operational and tactical ownership of transport planning and control concerning direct materials and project freight.
  • Engage in transportation network design and lead tendering initiatives, including preparing RFI, SOPs, spec books, and related documentation.
  • Manage onboarding procedures for new carriers and suppliers within Tesla's supply chain ecosystem.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with logistics partners and internal Tesla teams to ensure smooth coordination.
  • Deliver excellent stakeholder service throughout shipment operations by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues swiftly.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve Transport Management System (TMS) functionalities.
  • Leverage analytical and technical abilities to perform data analyses and create insightful dashboards.

Candidate Profile

  • Completion of apprenticeship or college degree in logistics or a related discipline, or equivalent proven experience and exceptional capability.
  • Minimum of two years' professional experience in logistics operations.
  • Proactive mindset focused on challenging existing processes and driving improvements.
  • Problem solver with a driver mentality and strong teamwork skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in project management, preferably handling tender projects.
  • Ability to thrive in an international, fast-paced team environment.
  • Familiarity with freight forwarding standards, terminology, and Incoterms.
  • Fluency in English and German is mandatory; knowledge of Polish or Czech languages is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Commitment to sustainability principles aligned with Tesla's Global EHS&S Policies and EMAS requirements, promoting continuous environmental enhancements.
