Key Responsibilities

• Use detection tools to locate underground utilities, with guidance from seasoned Locators as necessary
• Interpret and read utility maps to accurately identify utility locations
• Maintain detailed documentation of all locating activities
• Respond quickly and politely to excavation requests and notices
• Effectively communicate with excavators, utility personnel, and internal staff
• Conduct light digging with a shovel when required
• Work overtime, travel for assignments, and cover on-call or after-hours duties when needed
• Perform duties irrespective of weather conditions

Qualifications and Requirements

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States for this employer
• Possess a high school diploma, GED equivalency, or relevant prior work experience
• Hold a valid state driver's license (excluding provisional licenses) with a clean driving record

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Frequently work independently in remote locations involving arm movements above shoulder level, vehicle operation, fine motor skills, bending, stooping, standing, walking, lifting up to 55 pounds, and computer use
• Occasionally required to use portable ladders, work in confined spaces, and climb stairs
