Position Overview

The Location Manager in Moose Jaw is accountable for overseeing the daily leadership and performance of the retail location. The role ensures smooth operation across sales support, inventory control, logistics, and customer experience. Key focuses include supporting the team, nurturing local relationships, and maintaining operational standards to provide a consistent farm gate experience. Collaboration with sales, operations, and other locations ensures alignment with company goals while adapting to Moose Jaw's specific customer needs. The position is on-site and demands a proactive leader comfortable with a fast-paced, seasonal environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage daily sales operations ensuring an efficient and organized environment at the Moose Jaw location.
  • Plan and schedule sales personnel to accommodate seasonal workload and customer demand fluctuations.
  • Develop and cultivate a positive team culture emphasizing safety, accountability, and service quality.
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and daily performance evaluation of team members.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols; support monthly safety meetings in cooperation with Operations leadership.
  • Manage inventory levels, forecasting, and logistics coordination to maintain appropriate product availability.
  • Communicate any inventory imbalances or shortages across locations and support inventory counts and discrepancy resolution.
  • Oversee local logistics to ensure timely product readiness for customers.
  • Build strong relationships with local growers, customers, and suppliers to enhance the customer experience and location success.
  • Provide assistance to Sales Representatives on account management and customer service initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation accuracy concerning inventory, product movement, transactions, and support administrative functions including accounts receivable and expense management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, or related areas is advantageous.
  • Bachelor 3 to 7 years of experience in agricultural retail, logistics, farm service, or related sectors.
  • Prior experience in leadership or supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of crop inputs and agricultural retail operations.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and logistics coordination.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Comfortable working with computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license required.
