Key duties
The attendant will be responsible for keeping public spaces in excellent condition and ensuring that shared guest areas remain clean, orderly, and welcoming. The shift associated with this position is 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
- Clean and maintain hotel public areas such as restrooms, hallways, and stairwells to required standards
- Dust furniture and décor, vacuum areas, and sweep and mop floors
- Remove soiled linen carts and dispose of trash properly
- Use a two-way radio to stay in communication and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Keep the lobby, elevators, stairways, hallways, and front desk area free of clutter and debris
- Maintain public restrooms in a fresh, tidy, and presentable condition, including hourly checks
- Remove spots, insects, and debris; polish fixtures; and clean ashtrays
- Deliver requested items to guest rooms and help with guest room cleaning when needed
- Carry out additional assigned tasks as needed
Experience and education
A high school education is required, along with at least one year of experience in housekeeping.
