Loading Supervisor Cum Incharge – TMT Steel

Job Overview

We are seeking a diligent Loading Supervisor cum Incharge specializing in TMT steel to oversee the loading and dispatch functions at our steel manufacturing and trading facility. The role involves managing staff, coordinating timely shipments, ensuring loading precision, and maintaining safety protocols.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee daily loading and dispatch operations for TMT steel bars.
• Ensure that loading aligns precisely with invoices, delivery notes, and specific customer instructions.
• Organize and assign loading personnel effectively.
• Liaise with Dispatch, Stores, Production, and Logistics departments to facilitate seamless material movement.
• Confirm the correctness of material quantity, size, grade, and bundle specifications prior to shipment.
• Guarantee completion of loading within the planned schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of loading, vehicle dispatches, and submit daily reports.
• Supervise the availability and upkeep of loading equipment, coordinating repairs as needed.
• Ensure materials are handled correctly to avoid damage during loading and transport.
• Implement and monitor safety standards; ensure all workers use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Resolve inquiries from customers and transporters regarding loading and dispatch processes.
• Train and mentor loading staff to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
• Uphold cleanliness and discipline within the loading area.

Skills and Qualifications

• Familiarity with TMT steel products and their loading and dispatch procedures.
• Prior experience in warehouse or yard supervision.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Understanding of inventory controls and dispatch documentation.
• Basic proficiency with computers; knowledge of MS Excel, ERP, or SAP systems considered a plus.
• Capable of working under pressure to meet strict dispatch deadlines.

Compensation

The monthly salary range for this position is INR 20,000 to INR 25,000.
