Position Overview
We are seeking experienced LNG maritime experts to join the LNG Shipping Terminal Assurance team based in Qatar. This role centers on global LNG terminal assurance tasks, including evaluating ship/shore compatibility and delivering marine technical assistance for worldwide LNG operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed ship and shore compatibility evaluations.
- Perform thorough LNG terminal due diligence inspections and reviews.
- Provide marine operational support during LNG terminal acceptance processes.
- Offer technical assistance for ESTS (Extended Ship-to-Ship Transfer System) and commercial ship-to-ship transfer activities.
- Contribute marine expertise to the development of LNG operational procedures and contractual agreements.
- Assist in the development of new LNG terminal projects as well as Floating Storage Regasification Units (FSRU) and Floating Storage Units (FSU).
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a Class 1 Certificate of Competency (Master Mariner or Chief Engineer) or a comparable relevant degree.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in LNG or LPG transportation sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of LNG terminal operations and marine assurance practices.
- Experience managing the ship-to-shore interface effectively.
- Strong analytical capabilities coupled with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
- Solid awareness of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards within marine and oil & gas environments.
