LNG Operations Executive

Role overview

A fast-growing energy trading business in Singapore is looking to add an LNG Operations Executive to its team. The position supports the full trade execution cycle for spot LNG cargoes and related trading activity, as the company continues to expand its physical LNG capabilities.

Key duties

You will handle cargo scheduling, coordinate vessels, manage laycan and nomination processes, and communicate with counterparties, shipping agents, and terminal operators. The role also involves preparing accurate trade paperwork, supporting trade confirmations, and helping traders execute physical LNG cargoes efficiently.

In addition, you will work with internal finance, risk, and operations teams to maintain the integrity of the trade lifecycle, strengthen operational controls, and ensure readiness for settlement in a dynamic trading environment.

Experience and skills

The ideal candidate will bring 3 to 8 years of experience in LNG operations, LNG cargo scheduling, or commodity trade support gained in an energy trading house, utility, or LNG shipping/logistics setting. A solid understanding of LNG cargo movement, shipping documents, and vessel operations is essential.

Prior exposure to spot LNG cargo handling or trading environments linked to derivatives is helpful but not mandatory. You should be well organised, attentive to detail, and confident in a trader-facing role. Mandarin ability is a plus because of coordination with regional stakeholders.
