Live-in Resident Manager

About the Role

Boardwalk is hiring a live-in resident manager in Victoria, British Columbia. The company manages a large portfolio of rental apartments and townhomes across several provinces and focuses on delivering a comfortable housing experience and strong customer service.

What You'll Do

• Act as the on-site contact and take responsibility for the property.
• Handle rent collection and follow up on overdue payments.
• Inspect vacant suites and units that are coming up for availability.
• Show suites to prospective residents and support the leasing process.
• Carry out annual suite inspections.
• Prepare bank deposits and deliver them as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors so they arrive on schedule and complete work according to contract terms.
• Help with snow removal, cleaning, and small paint touch-ups when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• Previous exposure to customer service, sales, or property management is preferred.
• Computer skills are required, and experience with web-based systems is an advantage.
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and adapt to changing technology.
• Strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
• Accountability, follow-through, and a willingness to own problems until they are resolved.
• Good judgment, problem-solving ability, and decision-making skills.
• A positive, energetic, and confident approach.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, and lift for up to eight hours.
• Ability to move or lift up to 10 kg with proper equipment.

Important Requirements

• A valid Class 5 driver’s license is mandatory.
• Access to a personal vehicle is required.
• The schedule must be flexible, including availability in the evenings and on weekends.

Education

Post-secondary education in a related discipline is considered an asset.
