Live-In Nanny/Governess

Overview

A family-based learning role is available for a warm, imaginative, dependable live-in nanny/governess to care for two girls aged 6 and 8. The household follows a worldschooling lifestyle and divides its time between Dubai and Goa, so the ideal person should be adaptable, open to travel, and happy to be part of a home centered on learning through daily life, creativity, and new experiences.

This is not a standard childcare position. It suits someone who enjoys working closely with children in a family environment and can contribute positively to routines, emotional growth, and creative learning.

The children enjoy swimming, gymnastics, singing, dance, yoga, mindfulness, art, cooking, time in nature, animals, stories, Greek mythology, Percy Jackson, and Harry Potter.

Role responsibilities

• Help the children follow a steady daily rhythm with smooth transitions and a calm atmosphere.
• Support early learning activities such as reading, writing, mathematics, and imaginative educational play.
• Accompany the girls to swimming, gymnastics, singing sessions, and other nearby activities.
• Weave creativity into each day through music, movement, storytelling, art, and play-based learning.
• Encourage growing independence, good manners, confidence, and healthy emotional expression.
• Support positive sibling interaction and help maintain a peaceful home environment.
• Take care of light child-related tasks such as organizing bags, books, clothing, and preparing for activities.

Ideal candidate profile

• A live-in arrangement is required.
• Preference will be given to an Indian passport holder because of frequent travel between India and the UAE.
• Strong spoken English is important.
• The right person should be warm, playful, calm, and emotionally mature.
• Comfort with living and traveling between Dubai and Goa is essential.
• Interest in homeschooling, worldschooling, Waldorf, Montessori, Reggio, or child-led education is preferred.
• Experience in gymnastics, dance, singing, piano, yoga, or mindfulness would be a strong advantage.
• Direct nanny experience is helpful but not mandatory; a positive attitude, energy, responsibility, and a genuine affection for children matter most.
• Strong references are required.
