Job description
Role Overview
JDass Corp is hiring a full-time live-in nanny in Barrie, Ontario. The position centers on providing attentive in-home care for children, including day-to-day supervision, support with routines, and age-appropriate interaction. The role may also include light household help related to the children and family needs.
Childcare and Supervision
- Support children with everyday care such as bathing, dressing, feeding, diaper changes, and potty-training assistance.
- Keep children safe and supervised at all times, both inside the home and outdoors.
- Organize and guide activities suited to the children’s ages, including indoor and outdoor play, crafts, and educational engagement.
- Assist with transportation to and from school, activities, or playdates as needed.
- Help school-aged children with homework and study routines.
- Provide consistent behavior guidance and age-appropriate discipline support.
- Offer specialized attention for infants, including feeding, soothing, and developmental stimulation.
- Maintain notes or records related to the children’s learning and development.
Household Support
- Prepare meals and snacks for the children.
- Handle children’s laundry.
- Keep children’s spaces organized and perform light tidying and cleaning tasks.
- Shop for groceries related to the children.
- Complete errands for the family when required.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Candidates must be comfortable with a live-in arrangement.
- A self-driven, reliable, hardworking, and detail-focused approach is expected.
- A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
- Experience in nursing would be considered an advantage.
- Applicants must be non-smokers.
