Position Overview

This is a remote role exclusively open to candidates residing in New Jersey or New York. We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal specializing in personal injury cases within these jurisdictions. The position will commence with a commitment of 20 hours per week, with the potential to expand to full-time based on performance.

Key Qualifications

  • Residency required in New Jersey or New York.

  • Skilled in drafting, reviewing, and filing legal paperwork including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests accurately.
  • Competent in performing detailed legal research and compiling relevant case law to assist in developing legal strategies.
  • Highly organized with an ability to maintain comprehensive case files and manage electronic document databases effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with clients, witnesses, and experts, providing timely updates.
  • Experienced in pre-trial preparations such as organizing exhibits and summarizing transcripts for hearings and depositions.
  • Meticulous in tracking court deadlines to ensure punctual filing and prevent delays.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage all litigation stages diligently to guarantee the accuracy and punctuality of tasks.
  • Prepare and file a variety of legal documents that facilitate case advancement.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to underpin case strategies.
  • Organize and maintain physical and digital case documentation for effortless retrieval.
  • Maintain communication with clients and involved parties to collect information and provide case status updates.
  • Assist in preparing legal materials for trials, hearings, and depositions, including exhibit organization and transcript summarization.
  • Ensure all filings comply with strict court deadlines to avoid procedural delays.
