The role
An opportunity is available for a mechanically minded Light Vehicle Fitter to support reliability at the Mungari operation. The position involves working on a mixed fleet of underground and road-going light vehicles, with plenty of variety, independence, and interaction with experienced tradespeople in a safety-first environment.
This role sits at Mungari Operations and reports to the Light Vehicle Supervisor. It is offered on a 7:7 roster with 12-hour shifts. The job can be performed either as residential work from Kalgoorlie or on a FIFO arrangement from Perth. DIDO and FIFO lifestyle options are available at Mungari.
Key duties
- Maintain and repair a fleet of more than 100 light vehicles used across underground and surface operations.
- Identify faults and complete repairs that improve vehicle reliability, reduce downtime, and support safe production.
- Own preventative maintenance tasks so equipment remains compliant with site standards and performs at a high level.
- Contribute to hazard reporting, risk control, and other site safety initiatives that strengthen the safety culture.
- Look for ways to improve equipment performance, maintenance methods, and workshop efficiency.
- Work closely with operational and maintenance teams to keep vehicles available and ready for business requirements.
