Job description
Role overview
This position involves keeping assigned building areas clean and orderly. The work includes dusting, mopping, sanitizing washroom fixtures, spot cleaning, emptying and cleaning ashtrays, and vacuuming carpets.
Key duties
- Carry out standard custodial work and other related tasks as needed.
- Use a range of cleaning tools and equipment, including vacuums and floor-cleaning machines.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and other shared spaces.
- Empty waste containers and maintain cleanliness in common areas.
- Refill single-unit dispensers with soap, towels, toilet tissue, and sanitary napkins.
- Perform regular checks on cleaning equipment.
- Follow all workplace health and safety rules and procedures.
About you
- Prior cleaning or custodial experience is considered an advantage.
- You can communicate clearly in both spoken and written form.
- You are dependable, self-driven, upbeat, and comfortable working as part of a team.
- You are willing to help with additional tasks when required.
- You are able to operate cleaning equipment such as an I-mop and vacuum.
- You are physically capable of handling the demands of the role.
