Lift & Escalator Inspector (LEI)

Role Overview

Setsco Services Pte Ltd is hiring a Lift & Escalator Inspector (LEI) in Singapore. This position focuses on ensuring lift and escalator systems are inspected, tested, and documented in line with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Requirements

• You must already be registered as a Lift and Escalator Inspector (LEI) and hold a current valid practising certificate.
• Applicants should bring hands-on experience relevant to inspection work, including lift control systems, safety components, type testing, and assessing maintenance outcomes.

Key Duties

• Create inspection and testing SOPs, along with report templates for lift and escalator work.
• Set up and monitor procedures for Examination, Inspection, and Testing (EIT), as well as Examination, Inspection, Testing, and Commissioning (EITC), to support Permit to Operate (PTO) renewal submissions.
• Verify that all installed and inspected lifts and escalators meet the applicable Code of Practice.
• Carry out inspections in accordance with BCA requirements and ISO 17020 accreditation standards.
• Keep inspection and testing equipment properly maintained and calibrated.
• Perform statutory examination, inspection, and testing according to regulations, codes of practice, and the scheduled timeline, then submit the required reports and track rectification actions by owners or contractors.
• Complete non-statutory audits of lifts and escalators.
• Investigate lift and escalator incidents when required.
• Guide consultants on code of practice compliance for installation-related works.
